Maddow uses improv to explain Herman Cain's sexual harassment defense

In a segment Thursday night, MSNBC's liberal host Rachel Maddow used a bit of improv to analogize the defense being employed by Republican presidential candidate Hermcan Cain, whose history of grappling with sexual harassment allegations has become a national story in recent weeks.

Explaining that he's basically a driver who only hit one pedestrian, Maddow picked up a steering wheel and had a staffer dress up as a police officer, and put tape over the eyes of her theoretical victim.

"What is the Herman Cain argument in this situation?" she asked. "Listen, officer, listen. I know, I know. But look at all these other people walking around, safe and sound in this street scene. I drove right past them, and they're all fine! I mean, yeah, but the vast majority of people I drove by have not been hit by my car, officer!"

"That's the Herman Cain argument," she concluded.
