A manhunt is underway Wednesday night to net a bearded man wanted for reportedly shooting dead at least 22 people and causing residents in a small Maine hamlet to abandon roads as well and secure their homes as cops go door-to-door trying to track him down.
Multiple law enforcement sources told CNN that at least 22 people have been killed and there are as many as 60 people who have been wounded in various shooting incidents.
"Law enforcement in Androscoggin County are investigating two active shooter events. We are encouraging all businesses to lock down and or close while we investigate," a Facebook post by the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office read. "The suspect is still at large."
