On Saturday afternoon, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) raged at House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for pouring cold water on ramping up the impeachment of President Joe Biden.
The newly elected Speaker already has his hands full working out an acceptable budget proposal with his caucus as a government shutdown looms and, in comments made this week, he stated he hasn't seen enough solid evidence to proceed with an impeachment.
Linking to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that quotes Johnson reportedly stating, "There is insufficient evidence at the moment to initiate formal impeachment proceedings," Taylor Greene, who was a strong supporter of ousted House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), lashed out.

"Not long ago we had a Speaker that believed in impeachment so much that he launched an inquiry without a floor vote, but you were told he was bad," she wrote before adding, "After 8 R’s and all D’s ousted him, we found checks to Joe Biden and evidence of a massive money laundering scheme and now the new guy you are told is way better doesn’t want to impeach."
"Such progress," she sneered.
