Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) cited a C-SPAN caller's conspiracy theory on "Chinese birth houses" as she called to end birthright citizenship granted by the U.S. Constitution.
In a Thursday post on X, Greene pointed to an independent caller on C-SPAN's Washington Journal program.
"I would like to know if your guest knows what are Chinese maternity houses," the caller said. "There are houses where the Chinese government takes citizens that, when they're in their seventh or eighth months, they ship them here for a month. They let them have their children."

"And then once they have their children, they take them back to China, where now they're U.S. citizens," he continued. "They're loyal to China. We know they're doing it, but they're still getting away with it."
As the Supreme Court was hearing oral arguments on birthright citizenship, Greene expressed outrage over the caller's claim.
"This is just another reason why we must end birthright citizenship, a practice that was not started until after the civil war!" she exclaimed. "Big case in the Supreme Court today."
"I hope they judge to protect America from this scam!" she added.
