Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has been named as the chair of a subcommittee expected to work with President-elect Donald Trump's new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are leading.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) named Greene to the new Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency, CNBC reported on Thursday.
A source told CNBC Comer has met with Ramaswamy, and the groups are "already working together."
"We are grateful that the House Oversight Committee has created a DOGE subcommittee to focus on this work," a Ramaswamy spokesperson said. "We look forward to working together."
During a Fox Business interview on Thursday, Comer vowed to get the "chopping block going."
"We're going to work very closely with Elon Musk and Ramaswamy," he said.

In a statement to CNBC, Greene said she would lead the effort to fire "bureaucrats."
"I'm excited to chair this new subcommittee designed to work hand in hand with President Trump, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and the entire DOGE team," the lawmaker insisted. "No topic will be off the table."
