McCain once again trolls Trump 'from the grave' in selection of Russian dissident as pall bearer: MSNBC panel

John McCain carefully scripted his own farewell and funeral, carefully selecting those who would offer eulogies and even those who would be invited.

On Thursday, an MSNBC panel discussed one of the smaller details, the selection of Vladi­mir Kara-Murza as a pall bearer.

Kara-Murza is a critic of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and nearly died in 2017 after being poisoned in Moscow.

NBC political analyst Heidi Pryzbyla said that McCain was shaming Trump.

"He very carefully stage-managed all of this so that this was not about politics, this was about John McCain doing, from the grave, what he believes the current president has been unable to do, which is to remind Americans of what has always made us great, which is our diversity, our ability to be civil, to put aside our political differences and be decent and have character," she said.

"He really put a lot of thought into the message there, of uniting Americans but also a strong message as well and a counterpoint to President Trump by having that Russian dissident pall bearer," she said.
