Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) had some sharp words on Sunday for chaos-creating members of his party such as Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).
During an appearance on CNN, McCaul was asked about the possibility of securing more military aid for Israel in the wake of this weekend's deadly terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas when the House of Representatives currently lacks a speaker.
"It is not ideal," he acknowledged. "It wasn't my idea to oust the speaker, I thought it was dangerous. I look at the the world and all of the threats that are out there, and what kind of message are we sending to our adversaries when we can't govern and when we are dysfunctional and we don't even have a speaker of the House? How does Chairman Xi in China look at that, when he said democracy doesn't work? How does the Ayatollah look at this knowing that we cannot function properly? and I think it sends a terrible message."

McCaul went on to say that it was imperative to get a new speaker elected this week so that Congress could properly help fund Israel's defense and he added he was working on some measures that could be taken without a speaker elected, such as a "bipartisan resolution for condemning Hamas and we want to get that on the floor by unanimous consent."
