Michelle Obama: Women who voted against Clinton voted to silence 'their own voice'

Former First Lady Michelle Obama said in a public question-and-answer session on Wednesday that women who voted for President Donald Trump and against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton "voted against their own voice," said The Boston Globe.

Obama was speaking with feminist author Roxane Gay at the Inbound conference in Boston on Wednesday when she said, "Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice.”

Obama also discussed life in the White House, her forthcoming memoir and Republicans' ongoing failure to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA), her husband President Barack Obama's signature piece of domestic legislation.

Recent polls have shown that Obama herself would be the against President Donald Trump in 2020, should he remain in office to the end of his term.

However, Mrs. Obama has made it plain that she is not interested in running for office. An intensely private person by nature, the former First Lady reportedly found the constant public attention of living in the White House an uncomfortable experience.
