Mike Huckabee begs Congress: Defund the presidency to stop Obama from destroying the Constitution

GOP presidential candidate and former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee suggested that one way Congress could stop the Obama administration from extending visas to immigrants is to cut off funding to the White House.

According to a video clip procured by Right Wing Watch, Huckabee was reacting to Newsmax hosts who said President Obama may direct the federal Department of Homeland Security to circumvent a Texas judge's injunction against Obama's immigration plan that expands documentation to about 5 million who have been living in the United States for years.

Huckabee lamented the Republican-led House has never intervened in Obama's "unconstitutional" actions.

“And I hold the Republican Congress responsible and accountable," Huckabee said. "It’s time for them to step up, and if they have to cut the funding out of the White House and simply not appropriate funds for him to function, they have the power of the purse, they simply need to start exercising it."

Huckabee infamously was a staunch supporter of Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who defied the Constitution by refusing to issue marriage licenses after the Supreme Court defined same-sex marriage as a constitutional right.
