'Share the truth': Mike Johnson tells Fox News how he plans to woo Nikki Haley voters

During an appearance on Fox News after Super Tuesday, House Speaker Mike Johnson was asked by host Sandra Smith about Nikki Haley's ability to "rally a lot of that non-MAGA contingent all over the country" — voters that Fox News' own analysis discovered would never vote for Donald Trump.

Smith pointed out that Republicans now must try to coax Haley voters into voting for Trump once he becomes the nominee, and she asked Johnson what the GOP's strategy will be.

"The job of the Republican Party [is to try to] woo them and bring the enthusiasm and get them out to the polls," Smith said. "When it comes to college voters, suburban voters, those non-MAGA voters — what's the specific strategy to reach out to them in the next few months?"

Johnson replied, "Well, the strategy is to share the truth and talk about our principles."

Now that Haley has dropped out of the race, Republicans are scrambling to win over her supporters for Trump.

Haley's voting bloc is made up of people who previously voted for both Biden and Trump, and now they will be faced with a choice they were hoping they wouldn't have to make. According to an analysis from NBC News, Trump and Biden’s initial pitches to those voters in the hours after Haley's departure "couldn’t sound more different."

A Biden campaign official told NBC News the finance teams for Biden and the Democratic National Committee have reached out to Haley donors. Even Biden himself has publicly reached out.

“Donald Trump made it clear he doesn’t want Nikki Haley’s supporters,” Biden said in a statement. “I want to be clear: There is a place for them in my campaign.”

Trump, however, bragged on Truth Social that Haley got 'trounced" on Super Tuesday, before adding he'd, "Like to invite all of the Haley supporters to join the greatest movement in the history of our Nation."
