Teenager Quinn Mitchell has shaken up New Hampshire with his tough questions to 2024 Republican presidential candidates. The latest target of the 15-year-old was Nikki Haley, whose staff shoved him along as he asked about Trump, NBC News' Emma Barnett captured in a video.
Approaching the candidate at an event Monday, Mitchell asked if she truly believes former President Donald Trump is a threat to democracy. A man can be seen to Haley's left, who tries to wave Mitchell along.
Haley pauses and speaks with him for a moment, the video shows. She responds to his question in a way that makes him smile, and he follows up, but it's difficult to hear.

A female staffer comes from the crowd, puts her arm around Mitchell, and begins trying to move him physically away.
This isn't the teen's first rodeo. Mitchell has pressed President Joe Biden on past comments saying people should stand behind Trump. He pressed Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) on Trump's impeachment, NBC reported at the time, and he also pressed Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) about his past support of Trump.
Gov. Ron DeSantis was the most recent candidate to face off against the teenager. In the town of Hollis, N.H., on June 27, Mitchell came up to DeSantis as he walked with campaign aides and his wife.
“Do you believe that Trump violated the peaceful transfer of power — a key principle of American democracy that we must uphold?” Mitchell asked.
DeSantis, who is known for snapping at reporters, responded by asking what Mitchell's political background was. Ultimately, he responded that he didn't want to look to the past and instead, look forward.
DeSantis' refusal to answer the teen's question drew mockery online from those accusing him of being afraid of questions from a kid.
