Noah mocks Rupert Murdoch's 'vaguely racist' tweet: Now Obama's not black enough for conservatives

Daily Show host Trevor Noah weighed in on Thursday on Rupert Murdoch's online insult against President Barack Obama,

"This is eye-opening. This whole time, conservatives have been accused of disliking Obama because he's too black," Noah observed. "Now it turns out the problem is that he isn't black enough. Well, at least according to my ni*ga Rupert Murdoch."

On Wednesday, the News Corp founder complimented Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson on Twitter by saying that if elected, he would give the US a "real black president."

Noah -- no stranger to criticism for his Twitter posts himself -- offered at least one possible explanation for Murdoch's remark.

"Maybe the guy suffers from insomnia and the only thing that solves it is vaguely racist tweeting," he said.

Speaking of Carson, the host revisited his critique of Carson's statements on mass shootings a day after speculating that the former neurosurgeon wanted to send victims into the line of fire because he was actually a zombie.

Carson's statement earlier in the day that he was held up at a Popeye's "organization" but directed the gunman toward the counter, Noah said, put things in a new light.

"He said he would try to get everyone to rush the gunman," Noah argued. "But I have a feeling it would be more like, 'Hey guys, everybody attack him.'"

With that, Noah backed away from the scene, before producing "footage" of Carson pointing the robber toward store employees and then eating his meal without bothering to help anyone else.
