'It's not like he was assassinated': Internet rages after USPS takes day off to honor George HW Bush

The United States Postal Service will take the day off on Wednesday after President Donald Trump declared it a federal holiday to honor President George H.W. Bush, who died on Saturday night at the age of 94.

The federal government has been shut down for a day in the past to honor previous presidents, but given the timing, plenty of people were unhappy with the "excessive" decision, saying that the mail should still go out during the holiday season.

Some defended the move, pointing out that the postal service has done the same thing for every president since JFK.
