NY Times columnist slams GOP Senator Lindsey Graham as a 'weasel' for attacking sexual assault survivor

New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg called out Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for trying to discredit Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's sexual assault accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

Graham said it was suspicious that Ford had previously taken a lie detector test.

Goldberg slammed him as a weasel.

"I think Lindsey Graham is a weasel," Goldberg said. "Trying to insinuate that her kind of elementary steps she took to defend against the onslaught that is now being directed at her in some way justifies this onslaught."

She added, "I don't think for a minute that the vast majority of Republicans in the Senate really care one way or the other whether her charges are true. For them, the question is, will they still be able to vote for Kavanaugh without political repercussions when this circus is concluded."
