Obama tells Jerry Seinfeld: 'A pretty sizable percentage' of world leaders are out of their minds

President Barack Obama and comedian Jerry Seinfeld shared a laugh on Wednesday when Seinfeld delved into the topic of political leaders' mental health.

"How many world leaders, you think, are just completely out of their mind?" Seinfeld asked.

"A pretty sizable percentage," Obama quipped in response.

"Some of these people, you must meet them, you'll just be chatting and you look in the eyes and go, 'Oh, this guy's gone,'" Seinfeld said.

"Part of what happens is, these guys, I think the longer they stay in office, the more likely that is to happen," the president explained.

Obama's appearance on Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee on Wednesday was also momentous for the president for at least one reason -- he got to get behind the wheel of a 1963 Split Back Corvette.

"This is a childhood dream," Obama told host Jerry Seinfeld before taking the classic auto for a spin around the White House ground, later adding, "I'm appreciatively cooler than I was just two minutes ago."

However, the duo was stymied by security when they tried to fulfill the show's usual premise of driving through Los Angeles in the pursuit of some coffee.

"You're a comedian with the president going nowhere," the guard says. "Back it up."

Forced back into the White House, Obama and Seinfeld also discussed, among other things, Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David's skin care habits during golf outings.

"He lathers himself in sunscreen, and it's dripping, and it's caked white all over," Obama tells a distraught Seinfeld. "It catches parts of his ear and then there's big globs of it."
