'Oh, for f*ck's sake!' John Oliver lampoons media's coverage of Edward Snowden

The Daily Show host John Oliver on Wednesday night mocked the media's shallow and tabloid-esque coverage of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. Rather than discuss the legal and ethical ramifications of leaking classified information, many outlets decided to zero in on trite personal information, such as Snowden's educational history. The media also took an interest in Snowden's pole-dancing bohemian girlfriend, causing Oliver to reluctantly remark, "I'd never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I am not interested in any pole-dancing YouTube channels right now."
