O'Reilly defends Romney: 'Stone-cold fact' that Obama won because of 'gifts'

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly on Monday lash out at liberals for refusing to accept the "stone-cold fact" that former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney was right when he said that President Barack Obama won because he gave voters "gifts."

In a conference call with donors last week, Romney had explained that Obama bribed Hispanics, African-Americans, women and youth voters with “gifts” like “free health care” and “amnesty for children of illegals.”

Those remarks echoed O'Reilly's election-night assertion that the president was likely to win re-election because blacks, Hispanics and women “feel they are entitled to things.”

"Now, that's the truth," O'Reilly insisted on Monday, adding that Romney "pretty much said what I said."

"It is a stone-cold fact that lower-income Americans largely re-elected President Obama," he continued. "When I told you the truth on election night, I was immediately branded a racist and worse. This is what Americans should understand. Liberals want to see themselves as noble, they don't want to consider the fact that entitlements buy votes."

O'Reilly went on to blast the "pinheads" at The Washington Post for suggesting that his election-night remarks were bigoted.

"You disgrace the journalism industry," he ranted. "You seek to demonize anyone who disagrees with your far-left view."
