Oxford students, district at odds over graduation cords for gun violence survivors

DETROIT — Orange is the color of the gun violence prevention movement — and it's the color of a special commencement cord a group of 2023 Oxford High School graduates plans to wear to symbolize they are survivors of gun violence as they cross the stage and obtain their diploma this week. Oxford school officials are not having it.
