A song that didn't manage to completely reverse time

Digby has a funny post about the song "I've Never Been To Me" up. This song is mildly popular on the karaoke circuit, where I like to do some of my people-watching. It's popular with women who radiate bland good girl-ness, I'm afraid. I'm sure it probably makes them feel good to tell themselves that women who went out there and had their fun instead of sitting around wistfully reading bridal magazines or whatever it is that you do if you're the sort of person this song speaks to. If you think I'm being needlessly cruel, you haven't heard the lyrics and I highly recommend you check out Digby's post.

It occurred to me, reading that, that this song is the same age I am. Well, a couple months older, since I don't officially cross the line for a few more weeks yet. For some reason, I find this fact highly amusing.
