Parents horrified after gym teacher forces black students to reenact 'slavery games'

A Milwaukee, Wisconsin teacher is in trouble after a class exercise in which the gym teacher forced two student to re-enact slavery, reports WTMJ.

“Ms. Zehren forced me and my partner to reenact slavery in front of the entire class," 7th grader Alexis Averette said. "When we told her we were uncomfortable she told us we still had to do it."

As students played dodge ball, others were isolated by race. The teacher then told them to reenact slave games.

A statement from the school superintendent emphasized the districts inclusivity.

"We are committed to providing an environment of inclusion in our schools,” he said.
