Pastor backing Trump suggests Mexico will pay for US border wall or get its 'legs broken'

An Ohio pastor backing Donald Trump invoked some rather violent imagery on Tuesday in support of his argument that Mexico would indeed pay for the creation of a wall along its border with the US.

"Mexico is going to pay directly, or Mexico is going to pay indirectly," Pastor Darrell Scott told fellow panelists Ben Ferguson and Margaret Hoover. "It reminds me of a friend that I had years ago, OK? Let me say this for the record. He said, 'You're going to give me my money or I'm going to break your legs and you're going to give me my money.' Mexico will pay for the wall or Trump will break them down."

"We're not 12 years old," Ferguson fired back. "This is not your lunch money."

"I'm tired of that 12-year-old stuff," Scott said. "They're gonna pay it directly, or they're gonna pay it indirectly. And putting a tax on Western Union transfers is not unreasonable."

Trump's campaign said earlier in the day that if elected president, he would ban money transfers from the US into Mexico unless the latter country agreed to pay between $5 billion and $10 billion to be used to build the wall.

"Do you think all money being sent to Mexico is sent to help widows and orphans?" Scott asked Ferguson.

"You have no idea what you're talking about," Ferguson responded after some cross-talk.
