In an interview on SiriusXM's Andrew Wilkow Show, Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) defended himself following his censure and removal from House committees for posting an anime video on Twitter depicting himself murdering Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
Among his defenses: He isn't a violent person, because he has shown great restraint against his siblings for calling him names.
"They've called me every name in the book, and yet I have done nothing, nothing to them at all," said Gosar. "I have done nothing irrational. I've done nothing physically. I've never harmed them. I've never done anything. So that should tell you the caliber of the person you're talking to."
Gosar, who has repeatedly associated with white nationalist groups, has been furiously condemned by members of his own family. As far back as 2018, Gosar's siblings starred in a congressional ad endorsing his opponent. His sister, Jennifer Gosar, has stated in an MSNBC interview that he is "despicable," "deeply perverted," and "getting worse."
