Police respond to report of shooting at Walter Reed hospital

Police reported an active shooter at Walter Reed veteran's hospital Tuesday afternoon.

Multiple people have barricaded themselves, CBS local reports.

“I am currently at Walter Reed Medical in Bethesda where we’ve been told there is an active shooter. I am currently safe in a conference room w/ approx 40 others,” tweeted out Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
