Police rough-up terminally ill man who mooned traffic camera to fulfill bucket list

Darrell Meekcom, 55, has been diagnosed with multiple system atrophy (MSA), a terminal disease that has no cure. So, like many in his position, he started creating a bucket list and checking things off.
The Guardian reported that his list included the desire to moon a traffic camera. He called it a "good laugh" when speaking to his local newspaper. About 20 minutes after the drive-by mooning, six officers were at Meekcom's door, flattening him to the ground as he screamed that he was dying and it was his bucket list item. The officers didn't care.
"There were six of them restraining me, trying to get their arms up my back," Meekcom said. "They grabbed my hands and I'm saying I'm not resisting, I'm giving myself up.
"I've just been diagnosed with multiple system atrophy. I'm terminally ill. It was one off my bucket list. Haven't you ever wanted to moon at a speed camera?" Meekcom can be heard shouting on the video. An officer replies, "no."
"Well I did," said Meekcom.
"I felt like I had been abused" the father of two young children said. "It was outrageous bullying. They could have killed me very easily," he told the paper.
Meekcom also suffers from Parkinson's disease and he had a seizure after the incident that led to a hospital visit.
"Despite coming out to the police to give myself up they destroyed my front door and smashed the back gate to pieces," Meekcom noted.
West Mercia Police released a statement saying, "Around 1pm on Friday 5 November officers received a report of indecent exposure on Stourbridge Road, Kidderminster. Officers attended and after a search of the area, located a person of interest … A 55-year-old man from Kidderminster was arrested on suspicion of public order offenses and dangerous driving and released on bail."
Meekcom called the whole incident frightening.
