Private jets flood Boston airport ahead of Romney election party
November 06, 2012
Boston's Logan International Airport noted an influx of private jets Tuesday in advance of Mitt Romney's election night party there.
According to the Boston Globe, an airport official said 80 Gulfstream corporate jets had landed at the airport by mid-afternoon, up from around 40 to 50 on a regular day. The official compared the increased traffic to what the airport typically sees around a graduation at one of the city's large universities.
Romney's campaign is hosting an election soiree in Boston's Seaport District. For Romney, it's a return to the city where he served his one term as Massachusetts' governor.
