Rachel Maddow drips sarcasm after Don Jr. drops Secret Service: 'There's all sorts of innocent reasons'

Rachel Maddow hinted on Monday that members of the Trump inner circle were declining Secret Service for nefarious reason.

At the conclusion of her Monday show, Maddow reported on the breaking news that Kellyanne Conway and Donald Trump Jr. had dropped their Secret Service detail. Don Jr.'s request reportedly came before he took a trip Bahamas.

As she ended the show and tossed to 10 p.m. host Lawrence O'Donnell, Maddow admitted that she had "no idea" why the two would turn down protection.

"It seems like someone doesn't want the Secret Service following them around everywhere they go," O'Donnell offered with a smile.

"I have to imagine that there's all sorts of innocent reasons why you would want more privacy than a Secret Service detail would afford you," Maddow replied. "It's also weird the two of them are both making that decision on the same night."
