Morning Joe ridicules 'runaway beer truck' Nancy Mace's House hearing meltdown
The hosts of "Morning Joe" pounced all over Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) on Thursday morning for her antics during a House Oversight Committee hearing on Wednesday that led to her having a meltdown when she was challenged by Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL).
Mace, known for her attention-seeking ways including accusations she "obsesses extensively about her public image and demands a 'quota' of time she should be appearing on TV," flew into a rage on Wednesday after seeing Hunter Biden sitting in the gallery and demanded he be arrested.
"First of all, my first question is, who bribed Hunter Biden to be here today? That's my first question," she exclaimed. "Second question, you are the epitome of white privilege coming into the Oversight Committee, spitting in our face, ignoring a Congressional subpoena to be deposed. What are you afraid of? You have no balls to come up here."
After Moskowitz interjected and stated President Joe Biden's son could speak to the committee right then and there if she was so upset, she loudly complained, "Are women allowed to speak in here or no?"
After sharing the clip, "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough made fun of the South Carolina Republican mocking her Southern drawl and reminding viewers about her once bizarrely telling a prayer breakfast about her then-boyfriend wanting to have morning sexual relations.
With co-host Willie Geist prompting, "Joe and Mika [Brzezinski], in the first clip, Congressman Mace was screaming at Hunter Biden for not having the stones, let's put it that way, to show up and testify, as he is literally sitting in the room, willing to testify. They don't want it to happen in an open forum like that," Scarborough jumped in.
"First of all, Nancy Mace, it's just -- it has to be dizzying," he smirked before mimicking her speech, ""I'm a reasonable person. You don't have balls. I'm a reasonable person. I just was with my boyfriend at a --,' you know, seriously?"
"We have a description for that in northwest Florida; that's called a runaway beer truck and that is exactly what she is," he added.
