A Republican told C-SPAN this week that she worked so hard that she didn't "have time to be racist."
During Monday's Washington Journal program, a woman named Mary called in from Ohio on the Republican line.
"I know that Kamala is a sheep in wolf's clothing," she opined. "And I wanted to talk [House Minority Leader] Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). Whenever he gets on the television, he calls Trump supporters MAGA Republicans, white supremacy, just anything."
Mary said she was "a 63-year-old woman who has worked all her life."
"I don't have time to be racist," she complained. "I've been too busy working and trying to put a roof over my head and take care of my family."

Mary then blamed the Black community for Jim Crow and segregation.
"And I told my grandkids not to be guilty for anything they haven't done, slash slavery, Jim Crow laws, and the Black people, the Black men voted in for the Jim Crow laws back in 1872," she opined. "And that's a history that Black people don't want out there."
