REVEALED: Trump biographer nails the president's supernatural 'understanding' he has with Paul Manafort

Trump biographer Tim O'Brien explained the pitfalls of Donald Trump's seemingly-supernatural relationship to his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

In an interview the president's attorney Rudy Giuliani gave to the conservative Washington Examiner newspaper published earlier on Tuesday, the lawyer suggested special counsel Robert Mueller's "zeal to get" the president led Manafort to lie to prosecutors.

Giuliani also admitted to meeting with Manafort's lawyers and called the practice cursory -- an assertion MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace suggested was evidence of "obstruction of justice" if the prospect of a presidential pardon was discussed.

"How is that not an open and shut case of obstruction of justice?" the host mused.

O'Brien said that the "simple answer is that it is obstruction, and I don't think that Rudy Giuliani is a reliable narrator here."

"Manafort has lied so many times throughout this career that perhaps he lost track of it," the biographer said. "That's actually what the president is as well and they both sort of share that and I think they have this reptilian understanding of one another."

The former campaign manager, O'Brien speculated, "has his eyes on other things" beyond Trump -- and that a look at his client list may provide some insight into what Manafort's interests may be.
