Revealed: Tucker Carlson and his brother's vulgar, mansplainy reponses to NYC mayor's office

A debate between Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson, his younger brother and a spokesperson for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's (D) office culminated in a vulgarity-laced email from Carlson's brother, Buzzfeed reported.

"Great response. Whiny little self-righteous b*tch," Buckley Carlson wrote in a message he sent on Wednesday afternoon. Besides reaching his brother, the message was also received by the woman he was insulting, Amy Spitalnick.

The younger Carlson, who is a contributor to the Caller, also mockingly called her name "ironic."

"Ironic because you just know she has extreme d*ck-fright," he wrote. "No chance has this girl ever had a pearl necklace. Spoogeneck? I don't think so. More like LabiaFace."

Buckley Carlson's remarks spun out of a dispute between Spitalnick and Caller employees Peter Fricke and Christopher Bedford. Buzzfeed published a string of emails showing Spitalnick and Fricke sparring over his contention that de Blasio did not believe an $80 billion federal proposal to improve highway infrastructure was sufficient.

"I am telling you now as a mayoral spokesperson that they were highlighting [President Barack Obama's] plan as an 'ideal reference point' for what the funding should be," Spitalnick wrote. "So please correct the story now."

After she wrote Fricke and Bedford asking them to watch video of de Blasio's remarks on the matter, Bedford responded, "We're reviewing the video now, Amy. If you annoy me with another whiny email before then, I'm muting this thread, thanks."

Spitalnick then forwarded the message to Tucker Carlson, calling Fricke and Bedford's response "appalling." He replied saying that, while the Caller was reviewing the footage, he agreed with Bedford that her tone "was whiny and annoying."

"I say that in the spirit of helpful correction rather than as a criticism," the Caller editor-in-chief and Fox contributor told her. "Outside of New York City, adults generally write polite, cheerful emails to one another, even when asking for corrections. Something to keep in mind the next time you communicate with people who don't live on your island."

Buckley Carlson entered the email thread on that point, while inadvertently letting Spitalnick in on his insults.

Tucker Carlson appeared to dismiss the incident, telling both Buzzfeed and Politico, "I just talked to my brother about his response, and he assures me he meant it in the nicest way."
