Robert Mueller's Grand Jury expected to go past Labor Day: report

President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani has been outspoken about the deadline for Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

Giuliani has claimed that it would end by Sept 1st. As Special Counsel Robert Mueller's grand jury narrows in on President Donald Trump's former ally Roger Stone, subpoenas have been issued.

Radio host Randy Credico, who Stone sent threatening emails to has been subpoenaed to testify before the grand jury on September 7, per Mother Jones. A date that exceeds Giuliani's hopeful September 1st deadline.

Credico attorney Martin Stolar said that prosecutors seek to ask his client questions regarding the email communication and Stone and with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Stone has not cooperated with investigators in the past. As pressures raise, Stone told CNN: “I would not rule out cooperating if they think I can be helpful in some area.”

A longstanding protocol has guided investigators to cease public announcements of an investigation 90 days prior to an election. Former FBI Director James Comey broke the protocol when he held a press conference about Hillary Clinton. Trump is not on the ballot in November, however.
