Earlier this week, Mediaite published a report claiming it had heard a recording of Trump-loving operative Roger Stone talking with a security guard about assassinating Reps. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
Stone denied that he had ever said such a thing and taunted Mediaite for not producing the recording.
On Friday, however, Mediaite came through and published it. The recording apparently shows Stone discussing the assassinations of the two prominent Democratic politicians.
"We do indeed have the recording," said Mediaite reporter Diana Falzone in a video the website posted. "And we're going to play it for you now."

Falzone emphasized that the recording had been "lightly edited" to protect the identity of their source.
She then rolled the tape, and we hear Stone saying, "Either Swalwell or Nadler has to die before the election. They need to get the message. I'm just not putting up with this s--t anymore."
After playing the recording, Falzone said that her source told her that Stone's rants about assassinations were not a "one-off conversation" and that they were not remarks made "in jest."
Stone has a long history of violent rhetoric, such as the time just ahead of the 2020 election when he was caught on camera saying, "F--k the voting, let's get straight to the violence!"
