Sarah Silverman jokes she gave up on persuading people to vote: 'Do what you want to do the world is basically over anyway'

Announcing Puerto Rican singers Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, comedian Sarah Silverman couldn't help but joke the world is going to hell.

"We're here tonight to encourage you all to vote," Silverman said with football player Victor Cruz.

"No, that's not it at all," Cruz cut in.

"No, we're just kidding," Silverman said with a smile. "Do what you want to do the world is basically over anyway."
