Sarah Silverman perfectly calls out Republican hypocrisy on Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West

Comedian Sarah Silverman came to the aide of singer/songwriter Taylor Swift during her Hulu show "I Love You, America."

After the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Silverman confessed she is “so f*cking sick” of talking about him. “Honestly, if I think of his frowny pink face and his Pert Plus hair one more time I’m going to puke.

She confessed she wished she could talk to the 52 percent of white women who voted for President Donald Trump in 2016. She called the demographic "too far gone," though polling has shown the contrary. She then told viewers that only 23 percent of young people voted in 2014 and cited Swift as a motivator.

“I know you don’t want to hear this from me, your Auntie Sarah—who happens to have a cherry bomb of a caboose, by the way—so take it from your buddy, Taylor Swift,” she said of the star who revealed her support for two Democratic candidates in Tennessee this week.

“Taylor has a massive amount of reach,” she explained. “She has 112 million Instagram followers. She’s not just a pop star, she has the following of two Italys.”

She noted that the GOP reaction was to tell Swift to "stay out of politics."

“You can’t give Kanye a free ticket to the White House and then tell Taylor to stay in her lane,” she said. “They are both tax-paying citizens, they can talk about whatever they want.”

The one group Silverman wanted to see shut up was "tax dodgers." She explained it was because then we wouldn’t have to hear from big fat President Dumb Sh*t.”

“And yes, Taylor’s a little late to the game and waited until the American leg of her tour was over to speak up,” Silverman continued. “But her, better late than never… ever, getting back together. Fuck, her songs are so catchy. Look what you made me do!”
