Congressman Seth Moulton was visibly outraged on Saturday after "coward" ICE officials shot and killed another American citizen, using the moment to make a bold claim about Donald Trump and white supremacy.
Moulton appeared on MS NOW over the weekend, and first made the point that those who killed ICU nurse Alex Pretti were either "murderers or executioners." He went on to lambast ICE officials, from the perspective of someone who served in the Marines.
He noted that he's "seeingfederal law enforcementofficials who are absolutepathetic cowards."
"And let me beclear, I say that as a U.S. Marine veteran, someone who hasbeen in combat, who has seen alot worse than this, and theseguys are cowards. It turns outthese folks are Customs and Border Patrol. We've seen it from ICE officials as well. There'smultiple officers trying towrestle this guy to theground. He is lawfully carryinga weapon. They disarm him andthen they shoot him in coldblood," Moulton stated. "This is the kind ofstuff that you see in moviesfrom Iran, from North Korea, from the Nazis in Germany. Thisis gestapo-type stuff happeningin the streets of America. Andit's got to stop."
He then turned his fury to his GOP colleagues.
"And letme tell you one other thing. The other cowards in thisequation here, the othercowards are the Republicans whocontinue to enable thispresident and secretary of Homeland Security. Tom Emmerrepresents Minnesota. He's thethird ranking official on the Republican side in the House of Representatives," he said. "Where is he?Where is he today? He seems tobe more interested in defendingthis president and secretary of Homeland Security than theAmerican citizen shot dead inMinnesota."
Moulton went on to make a bold claim about how Trump is being used by aide Stephen Miller.
"I think it's theintent to invoke the Insurrection Act," he says of the Trump admin's recent actions and statements. "Now, my guessis that is not coming somuch from our senile president, but from Stephen Miller, the modernincarnation of the gestaporight here in America, a racistfull and through, who is usingDonald Trump, this increasinglysenile president, for his aimsof white domination. That'sclearly what's going on here."
