WATCH: Shepard Smith goes nuts over 'freaky' foam in Santa Clara: 'I think I've been to this club'

There is an outbreak of foam at the Santa Clara airport in Califororinia Friday afternoon. But it was Fox News' Shepard Smith's reporting of the incident that made it even more hilarious.

The Santa Clara Fire Department reports that the incident occurred when the fire suppression systems malfunctioned at the airport.

"A fantastic thing has happened," Smith said, seemingly elated by the unusual news. "Mystery foam alert!"

He went on to say that he couldn't "'splain you this," meaning he hadn't yet heard the cause of the incident. "But it's so good I had to show you."

Standing next to a giant wall of televisions showing the foam seeping out onto the Santa Clara streets, Smith asked his audience, "I mean, come on? Where are the llamas?!"

He also acknowledged, "I think I've been to this club!"

Smith was clear he had no idea what was happening. "Could I speculate? I could, but that really is worthless. Except I will. Look at it undulating!" he exclaimed. "It's undulating mystery foam!"

He wasn't clear what was happening, but he did speculate that children could be in there with fire extinguishers.

Smith notes that he can tell the election is over now that he's covering stories like this. Indeed.
