'SNL' devil to Westboro Baptist Church: Gay is a-okay
March 06, 2011
The Devil, played by a red-on-red-clad Jason Sudeikis, paid a visit to Seth Meyers at the Weekend Update desk on Saturday Night Live this weekend to share his thoughts on Westboro Baptist Church and their infamous f-bomb laden protest signs.
"First of all, God doesn't hate gay people — God doesn't hate anyone, that's his whole thing. God doesn't even hate me! I mean, he's disappointed in me, you know, but he doesn't hate me," ranted the Devil. If anything, he reasoned, it was the devil who should hate gay people, for classing up the world.
"Suddenly, there's cupcake shops and candle stores everywhere! And they're so nice too! I tell ya what, I hate 'em, but I can't stay mad at them," he said.
