SNL rips Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell and Susan Collins for hypocrisy on President Donald Trump

NBC's "Saturday Night Live" hilariously ridiculed Republican senators for betraying their convictions to support President Donald Trump.

The cold open segment was set up as a broadcast of "Meet the Press" with Chuck Todd interviewing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME).

"What would it take for President Trump to lose your support?" Todd asked. "I'm going to give you guys some hypothetical scenarios and you tell me if any of them would be enough for the president to lose your support."

"What if Donald Trump divorced his wife, Melania?" Todd asked.

"Love can be a tricky thing," Collins replied.

"What if he leaves her for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?" he asked.

The senators groaned.

"And he also pledges to love, honor and enact her Green New Deal," Todd continued.

"Now, that just crosses the line," McConnell replied. "There are some things you can't forget."

"So he would lose your support?" Todd asked.

"He would not," McConnell answered.

"Okay, let's say Trump open hand slaps you in the face," Todd said. "What would you say then?"

"Harder, daddy," Graham replied.
