Social media skewers Trump's anti-Clinton speech: Nothing but ‘spittle inducing rage and lies’

GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump gave a scripted speech on Wednesday attacking Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. Trump appeared to be reading off notes, but that didn't stop Twitter users from crafting their own responses.

Some chimed in on his habit of making fantastical-sounding accusations against Clinton, like creating "totally open borders for the United States."

MoveOn attacked Trump for invoking Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in what appeared to be an appeal to Sanders' supporters.

Some kept Trump honest.

Another riffed on Trump's claim to have received a "small loan" to start his business ventures.

He seemed to blame Hillary Clinton for everything.

Others mocked Trump for changing his tune on Muslims, who he famously wants to ban from entering the United States.

Trump also constantly inhaled deeply and loudly through his nose, throughout the speech, prompting some to take notice.
