Suspect in deadly Thanksgiving shooting arrested, investigators say

A man accused of fatally shooting a 30-year-old woman early Thanksgiving morning in Elizabeth, New Jersey was arrested Friday, investigators said. Gerard Manning, 30, of Elizabeth, was charged with murder, endangering the welfare of a child and weapons-related offenses, according to a news release from the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. Authorities said Victoria Myers, also of Elizabeth was found dead at Mravlag Manor, a public housing complex in the city.
