Texas kindergarten teacher sentenced to 40 years in prison for sexually assaulting 6-year old girl: report

Thomas Lloyd Cannon, a Texas kindergarten teacher was sentenced to 40 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 6-year old girl, reported the Dallas News.

Cannon, 42, was first investigated in May 2017 when a student broke her silence and claimed that Cannon had abused her.

The arrest warrant affidavit said, "he did nasty things to me and my friend."

Cannon was removed from his classroom and arrested within a week. He was accused of having intercourse with the child.

He was charged with four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and three counts of indecency with a child.
