Republican Senator Tim Scott is ready for the US to bomb Hamas and get hostages

Republican Sen. Tim Scott (SC) told CNN's Abby Phillip that he wants a targeted strike on Gaza in an attempt to retrieve any Americans who may have been taken hostage by the group Hamas.

The group declared a terrorist organization by the United States, took many hostages during their recent attacks on Israel. While the National Security Council spokesperson has confirmed that there are U.S. citizens among those killed. But there is not currently any public information on whether Americans have been taken hostage.

The U.S. has already deployed a carrier strike group to move closer to Israel and shipments of munitions also began Sunday, NBC News reported. However, Phillip asked Scott if he believes military action is warranted if there are U.S. hostages.

“I certainly think we should be prepared to send resources to Israel without any question," said Scott speaking to Phillip on Sunday. It's something that is already unfolding but Scott appeared unaware of it.

"We want targeted attacks in order to get Americans back," Scott continued. "And frankly, I think you'll see Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu go even further and make sure Hamas cannot have another day like yesterday morning."

He continued with Republican buzzwords like "strength" and "Ronald Reagan."
