Tomi Lahren: Lil' Wayne denying racism is more honest than Kaepernick sitting on his 'half-white a*s'

The Blaze's Tomi Lahren admitted on Wednesday that she was surprised to find herself expressing "a newfound respect" for rapper Lil Wayne.

"Even when he was race baited by Skip Bayless, given a shot to claim victimhood and throw down that poor-me, Kaepernick/Beyoncé/Jesse Williams/Jada Pinkett Smith race card, he chose to speak his truth," she said, referencing his recent interview with the Fox Sports 1 host.

Earlier this week, the rapper said he had no opinion of NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick's protests against police brutality because he believed he had never experienced racism.

"I've never dealt with racism," he said. "I'm glad I didn't have to. I don't know if that's because of my blessings, but it is my reality. I thought it was over, I still believe it's over. But obviously, it isn't."

Lahren did not mention that Wayne told Bayless and his colleague Shannon Sharpe that even though he did not know why Kaepernick was kneeling during the national anthem at San Francisco 49ers games, he respected his opinion.

Instead, she blamed the Black Lives Matter movement for what she called a "Twitter militia" wishing death on the rapper for his remarks.

"You can sit on your half-white ass like Colin Kaepernick, you can raise your Black Power fist and that is applauded," she said. "But as soon as a black person rejects the victimhood narrative, they lose their blackness in the eyes of many of their fans."
