Daily Show host Trevor Noah took pity on former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) on Tuesday, describing him as the Republican Party's own "Blackfish."
"Jeb has never known the freedom of swimming in a great big ocean -- an ocean called life," Noah said. "He was born cramped in the tiny tank of American politics. His father was president, his brother was president. In the Bush family you weren't considered a man until you invaded Iraq or lost your virginity, whichever one came first."
To prove his point, Noah showed a clip of the GOP presidential candidate fretting out loud when asked what it was like to be coached on how to be more "fun."
Much like an orca, Noah argued, Bush was "bred and trained" for his current position, and forced to perform no matter how bad he feels.
"I'm sorry to say this, but Jeb Bush wants to be set free," Noah said. "No, he deserves to be set free. We know this because unlike an Orca trapped in Sea World, Jeb Bush can voice his misery in a language we can understand."
The host went so far as to announce that the show has started the "FreeJeb" campaign, complete with an online petition demanding that Bush be released back to the "Florida suburbs," before being interrupted by correspondent Hasan Minhaj, who insisted that Bush "has a healthy appetite" and was being treated well by the staff at "JebWorld."
"They've studied these majestic creatures for generations, always working to get them back to their native White House habitat," Minhaj said.
