Trump acting like a 'Russian asset' as Mueller investigation heats up: CNN contributor

On Tuesday's episode of The Lead, Democratic strategist Paul Begala tried to explain why top intelligence officials might launch an investigation into Donald Trump's links to Russia.

"They see this president go easy on Mike Flynn, Comey [getting] fired,' Begala noted. "He said 'I fired him because of this Russia business.'"

"Days later he takes a Russian spy master and gives him classified classified secrets .... "

"He is acting just like a Russian asset, that's why their investigating him as if he is!" Begala said.
