'A great deal of alarm': Pro-Trump Fox News host admits public fears plane crashes in 2025

Right-leaning Fox News host Kevin Corke admitted that there was "a great deal of alarm" from the public after a series of airplane and helicopter crashes during President Donald Trump's latest term in office.

"I want to show all the aviation accidents in 2025, 48 fatal, 219 non-fatal," Corke told Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-TX) during a Sunday interview. "I share that because, Congresswoman, there's a great deal of alarm in the country, or there seems to be more reporting about crashes, fatal crashes, lately."

Van Duyne downplayed the accidents by insisting there had been more airplane crashes in 2024.

"It's political," she insisted, "but there's a much big difference between, you know, catastrophic equipment failure and a lack of — what's going on in the FAA."

"And I think you look at [transportation] Secretary Duffy's comments the other day, he'll tell you there are ways, again, that we can make our government, our federal agencies work better," she added. "I don't want anybody to get scared. It's still — the safest way to travel is flying."

"When you see families who have perished in an accident, it is heartbreaking. And that's what people are responding to."

"Yeah, it is truly heartbreaking," Corke agreed. "And I know the administration is doing what it can to, first of all, grow the number of highly qualified air traffic controllers, but also take a really careful look at small aircraft, small airports, making sure they have all the resources they need to keep people safe up in the skies."
