Trump team is causing Harris boost with '24-hour death star alienation campaign': pollster

Donald Trump continues to bring people together against him, explained a Democratic pollster and former Congressman.
While vice presidential running-mate J.D. Vance has been trying to make inroads with veterans, Trump spoke out on the honors veterans are bestowed by a president or a member of Congress.
For example, Trump is reported to have trashed the Medal of Honor, saying that those who get it come back "in bad shape" or "dead."

Host Ana Cabrera ticked off a list of the different groups of people Trump has alienated in the past several months, from veterans to post-menopausal women, people without kids, and more. She asked Democratic pollster Fernand Amandi how many other groups the GOP ticket has alienated.
"All of them," quipped Amandi. "That's why you see, all of a sudden, all of these groups mushrooming overnight. Veterans for Harris on Zoom. Childless cat ladies for Harris on Zoom. All of these little groups because of the constant 24-hour death star alienation campaign that the Trump-Vance ticket just delights in doing it again and again."
He explained that it might work on Fox networks, but it "doesn't play" with "non-Trump voters."
One former Congressman agreed, saying this is how the GOP underperformed in the past three elections and why they can't score large wins, even with gerrymandering.
"No. 1, you know, what a horrible thing to say," said former Rep. Carlos Curbelo (D-FL). "No. 2, this is exactly the type of statement, the type of conduct that turns off the swing voters and suburban America that defeated Trump three elections in a row. The MAGA movement, '18, '20 and '22 again, this is Donald Trump being his own worst enemy. Keeping that anti-Trump coalition together. A lot of people say, well, maybe he'll change course. This is who Donald Trump is. He hasn't changed in all these years. And I think it's unlikely to happen in the next couple months."
