Donald Trump may be running for president, but some people are put off by his latest fundraising scheme: gold sneakers.
The former president, who on Friday was ordered to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in a fraud case in New York, Saturday appeared in Pennsylvania to give a "surprise speech" in front of a backdrop advertising his "Trump sneakers."
In one video of the event being broadcast online, a woman is heard shouting at people in the audience to support Trump.
"My kids need you! You're a Christian!" the woman shouted. "You're honest! Look at his family! All good kids!"

Progressive journalist Brian Tyler Cohen posted about the event on his social media.
"Trump is trying to sell golden sneakers through a scam website at his rally right now while a hysterical person comes up on stage."
MSNBC executive producer Kyle Griffin highlighted a response from Biden-Harris 2024 communications director Michael Tyler on Trump's appearance at the so-called Sneaker Con gathering.
"Donald Trump showing up to hawk bootleg Off-Whites is the closest he'll get to any Air Force Ones ever again for the rest of his life."
Obama appointee Eric Columbus said Saturday, "Trump just spoke at something called 'Sneaker Con' in Philly while promoting a website where he hawks $399 sneakers and $99 perfume."
Another internet user refused to believe the development.
"OMG. This can't be real. It can't," posted @Based_Jas. "Trump sneaker? He is basically the sham wow guy now."
The news was reported earlier by NBC's Vaughn Hillyard who said that Trump had "entered a naming agreement with a company selling Trump sneakers and fragrances."
"He'll soon tout the shoes at 'SneakerCon' in Philly this afternoon," he reported prior to the event.
