'It's coming': The View host expects Trump's Cabinet picks to get far worse

The co-hosts of "The View" are shocked to see what they think are reasonably rational appointees to Donald Trump's Cabinet — but they warn it won't continue.

Ana Navarro, who was once a Republican strategist, said that she came up in Florida GOP politics with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and they still share many of the same opinions about foreign policy.

Rubio's name has been floated as a favorite to become Secretary of State.

"Marco is qualified," Navarro said. "He's been on [the] Foreign Relations [Committee] in the Senate for many years. I'm happy because he knows Latin America, which for me is a region that's often forgotten, and he speaks Spanish. He knows who the leaders are and knows what the issues are. I think he's going to come in hot on places like Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua, which I care about enormously."

She said she was shocked to see him as an appointment because he's a "foreign policy hawk and kind of like a neocon," which MAGA doesn't tend to like.

She also found it a bit shocking that Rubio would be willing to give up his Senate seat for a post in Trump's Cabinet — where he could be fired on a whim.

But Sunny Hostin said she's worried about people like former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) as the chief of the Environmental Protection Agency. Zeldin is a climate denier, she said. The New Republic wrote of Zeldin that he is "guaranteed to destroy the environment."

Hostin is also worried to see people like Stephen Miller in such a high White House post as deputy chief of staff for policy, and Tom Homan presiding over Trump's "mass deportation" plans as border czar. She recalled his recent "60 Minutes" interview in which he was asked if deportations could happen without separating families.

He replied, "Of course there is. Families can be deported together."

But it was Sara Haines who said she has been relieved so far. While there are some far-right picks, she expected worse.

"I agree about Stephen Miller, and I think everyone at the table would agree, but I thought every appointment was a Stephen Miller and was dreading — what Laura Loomer [would be] running," said Haines.

"She could be running something soon," said Hostin.

Haines said she expected Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Rudy Giuliani would be put in charge of things.

"Just wait, Sara. It's coming," warned Hostin.
