'What a loser!' MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace laughs at Trump for continuing to cheat at golf

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace learned for the first time on Wednesday that, despite being the leader of the "free world," President Donald Trump still cheats at golf.
The panel discussion was about Republicans' desperate effort to hold onto Congress by redrawing the lines only a few years after they'd already changed them. The new effort in Texas aims to craft congressional districts that would try to remove Democrats.
Wallace showed a clip of Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D-IL) speaking to "Meet the Press" on Sunday in which he talked about Trump's long history of "cheating."
"He knows he's going to lose the Congress in 2026. That's why he's going to his allies and hoping that they can save him, and we've all got to stand up against this. This is — it's cheating. Donald Trump is a cheater. He cheats on his wives. He cheats at golf, and now he's trying to cheat the American people out of their votes," the governor said.
Wallace confessed that one of her all-time favorite interviews was with sports writer Rick Reilly, who wrote a book on Trump cheating at golf. She said that the idea of Trump cheating is a message that people understand, even if they don't fully grasp the idea of gerrymandering.
The Bulwark's Sam Stein echoed the plug for Reilly's book, noting, "The guy does cheat. He was caught red-handed on video the other day, but that's neither here nor there."
Wallace stopped the interview in shock.
"Really?!" she exclaimed. "He still cheats at golf? That's amazing. That's so, hashtag sad!"
Stein told her about the viral video of a caddy at his Turnberry course in Scotland. As Trump drives up on his gold cart, his caddy is already walking ahead of him and drops a golf ball behind him.
"What a loser," Wallace commented. "Why isn't he better at golf? Why isn't he better? Because it's not like he's running the country. Why isn't he better at it? I mean, I know golf's hard but..."
Stein commented that Trump is actually fairly good at golf, "he just likes to cheat ... he just cheats all the time."
Wallace was determined that her producers find the video of the recent cheating incident so she could show it to her audience.
